Finding Items

Item Finder allows you to search across the Eos database for Items and Packing Entries based on various direct and related criteria.

Item Finder is accessed via the drop down arrow next to Jobs (red arrow).

When you have accessed the Item Finder screen, you can choose which search criteria you would like to use by selecting one of the tabs at the top of the screen. You can then enter the specific search details using the text boxes and dropdown menus provided. You can make a search based on more than one criterion at a time by simply navigating to another tab and entering more details before you click the Search button.

Available search criteria include:

Item/Packing: Search information directly relating to Items/Packing Entries, such as Description or Supplier contact details (You’ll notice that this tab looks almost identical to the Item screen you use to add Items to a Shipment).

Components: Search for Items/Packing Entries based on component information. For example, Items/Packing Entries can be searched based on Room or Bay information or you can use this search to see which Items are in a warehouse.

Job: Find Items/Packing Entries that exist within a specific Job, by searching Job Number or Job Reference, or any other details relating to an existing Job (You’ll notice that this tab looks almost identical to the Job screen).

Shipment: Find Items/Packing Entries that exist within a specific Shipment by searching Shipment Number or Shipment Reference, or any other details relating to an existing Shipment. (You’ll notice that this tab looks almost identical to the Shipment screen).

Shipping: Find Items/Packing Entries that exist by their shipping details such as MAWB or specifying a shipping date range.

Once you have specifed your required criteria, hit Search to retrieve results.

Actions & Reports

Once you've returned some results you can navigate straight to the select Item/Packing Entry's corresponding Job, Shipment or Item/Packing Entry within Jobs by using the Go To menu.

You can also generate reports (purple arrow) based on the returned results. Those reports are:

Job Reports: All the usual Job Reports such as Inventories and Labels.

Sortable Excel File Export: A sortable and filterable Excel file.
